Roofing warranties at Reset
Reset roofs carry two separate warranties. Mixing them up is how homeowners get surprised later.
1. Reset workmanship warranty
• Length: 10 years
• Transferable to the next owner
• Written as a no-leak workmanship warranty
• If an installation-related leak shows up during the term, Reset comes back and repairs the workmanship issue at no additional cost
This is Reset’s promise about how the roof was installed.
2. Manufacturer warranty: GAF, when the job qualifies
Reset is a GAF Master Elite® Contractor. On qualifying GAF systems, homeowners can receive the GAF Golden Pledge® Limited Warranty. It covers materials and workmanship for up to 25 years with no dollar limit and includes shingles, underlayment, starter, ridge cap, and qualifying ventilation products when those products are on the system GAF specifies.
Reset files the manufacturer paperwork and coordinates with GAF. Approved manufacturer repairs are completed by a certified crew. Golden Pledge is not automatic on every job. The system, products, and registration have to meet GAF’s current rules. Your proposal will say whether the job qualifies.
CertainTeed jobs
Reset is a CertainTeed Select ShingleMaster. If a job uses a CertainTeed system instead of GAF, the proposal and manufacturer warranty documents will identify the exact products, registration requirements, coverage, and term for that project.
What these warranties do not cover
• Damage from a later storm, fallen tree, or someone walking the roof
• Clogged gutters you did not maintain
• Interior finish work beyond what the warranty document lists
• Work performed by another contractor after our install
• Normal weathering and granule loss that is not a defect
Ask for the written warranty documents at proposal. Do not rely on this page as the contract.
