Frequently Asked Questions

How long should my roof last?

There are a lot of factors at play, but a builder-grade roof installation typically lasts 17–20 years. Higher-end materials, proper installation, and good maintenance can extend that. If your roof is aging or you're seeing recurring repairs, it's usually time to start thinking about a replacement.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. We've found that giving homeowners flexible payment options makes a large expense a lot more manageable. Ask your project consultant to walk you through what's available.

What does the cleanup look like?

Roofing is an extremely messy process. Most roofs have 20,000+ nails on them, and old shingles and felt paper have been breaking down since the day they were installed. We pride ourselves on leaving your property like we were never there — full debris removal, magnetic nail sweeps, and a walkthrough before we pack up.

Do you use a dumpster or a trailer?

99% of the time we use a dump trailer for haul-off and removal. Commercial roofs and wood shake roofs typically require traditional roll-off dumpsters due to the volume and material involved.

What warranty do you offer?

Honestly, material warranties aren't worth much — manufacturers are always finding ways in the fine print to get out of them. What matters is workmanship. We offer a 10-year, fully transferable, no-leak workmanship warranty. That means our warranty covers whoever lives under our roof, not just the original homeowner. Through our manufacturer certifications, we also offer extended options: up to 25 years on workmanship, backed by the manufacturer.

How long does the job take, and how many people will be there?

Roof installation typically takes one to two days. Larger projects and specialty shingles take longer due to their complexity. We'll give you a realistic timeline upfront so you can plan accordingly.

Do you use employees or subcontractors?

In Georgia, subcontractors install roofs — that's standard across the industry due to the cost of insurance. The installers we use have been working with us for many years. They're insured, certified, trained, and vetted. We stand behind their workmanship the same way we would our own.

Can't you just use some sealant to fix the leak?

Sometimes, but often we can't. Cheap quick fixes aren't permanent — they can hide a bigger problem and lead to more costly damage down the road. We'll always tell you honestly what the right fix is.

How do I know you'll do what you say?

Read our reviews. They're real and not paid for. We stand behind everything we do, and we can't hide from it. When you call our office, we answer — you're not going to voicemail. That matters.

Another company is giving me a 50-year warranty. Why is yours only 10 or 25?

That's a material warranty — and to be frank, it doesn't matter. Manufacturers are always finding ways in the fine print to get out of paying. What matters most is workmanship, how long a company has been in business, and whether they have a brick-and-mortar location with marked vehicles. Those are things you can actually count on.

Why is the insurance Statement of Loss price higher than other quotes?

Insurance scopes are written to restore your roof to pre-loss condition, which includes code upgrades, overhead, and profit. In some cases it can take 6–8 months to collect full payment — mortgage companies hold funds and insurance companies release additional money in stages. A significant amount of work goes into managing an insurance claim, and in many cases we personally finance the project while homeowners wait on those funds.

Should I be home during the repair or replacement?

Unless you love loud noises and organized chaos, we recommend stepping out. We keep you updated with unedited photos sent throughout the project so you can see exactly what's happening without being on-site.

It's just a minor fix. Why does it seem expensive?

Repair minimums are a real thing. Getting the right materials, the right technicians, and a real workmanship warranty to your job site costs money whether it's a small repair or a full replacement. We stand behind our work 100% of the time.

Do I need to do anything to my roof every year or every 5–10 years?

Yearly inspections never hurt. As homes shift, nails can pop out. Painters can damage your roof without you knowing. Gutters need to be cleaned out annually and can cause roof damage if left unattended. An annual all-clear is a small investment that can save you from costly repairs later.

Can you help me file an insurance claim?

Yes — we've helped homeowners file thousands of claims. You want someone on your team from the start. While we can't file the claim on your behalf, we can document the damage, walk you through the process, and make sure you have everything you need before you make the call.

Will you meet the insurance adjuster if I file a claim?

We do this often and we recommend it. Having someone on the roof on your behalf during the inspection helps make sure the adjuster has the full picture and writes an accurate estimate.

I'm insurance approved, but I'm not sharing my estimate. Can you provide a retail quote?

We can and we will. Keep in mind you'll be responsible for payment upon completion, along with all the behind-the-scenes work required to receive your additional funds beyond the initial check. We're happy to walk you through how that works.
